About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Mental Health Review Team in Lancashire. This role focuses on statutory reviews and reassessments for adults with mental health needs, supporting recovery, independence, and wellbeing through a strengths-based and person-centred approach.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting, ensuring care and support plans remain proportionate, effective, and compliant with statutory duties, while making a meaningful difference to individuals' lives across the county.

Role purpose

As an Adult Social Worker within the Mental Health Review Team, you will undertake statutory reviews and reassessments under the Care Act 2014, promoting recovery and independence while ensuring safeguarding responsibilities and legal frameworks are met.

What you will do

  • Complete statutory reviews and reassessments for adults with mental health needs under the Care Act 2014.

  • Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and lead Best Interests decision-making when required.

  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with Section 42 duties.

  • Review and update care and support plans to ensure they are person-centred, proportionate, and outcome-focused.

  • Work collaboratively with Community Mental Health Teams, health professi
