This Good Ofsted-rated nursery is looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to help lead its dedicated team and support the continued delivery of outstanding early years care and education. Following an exciting refurbishment, the nursery now offers even more inspiring spaces where children can learn, play, and grow.

Bright, calming rooms have been thoughtfully designed to promote confidence and independence, while outdoor play is woven into everyday learning, encouraging children to explore, discover, and develop through hands-on experiences.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards across the setting, supporting your colleagues, and building meaningful relationships with families to ensure every child receives the very best start in life.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous senior or leadership experience within an early years setting is essential.
  • Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge or Assistant Nursery Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to supporting quality improvement and developing teams.
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care and education while building strong relationships with children and families.

What You'll Receive

  • £31,400 per year
  • Pension scheme
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Life assurance
  • Paid DBS check
  • Long service awards
  • Competitive annual leave
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Opportunity to join a beautifully refurbished, Good Ofsted-rated nursery with genuine opportunities for career progression

Your Role

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the nursery.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the nursery team, promoting high-quality early years practice.
  • Help maintain the nursery's Good Ofsted rating by ensuring compliance with the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of care and education, supporting continuous improvement across the setting.
  • Build positive and lasting relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Support staff development through coaching, supervisions, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Help create engaging learning environments that encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity through both indoor and outdoor play.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence, ensuring the smooth running of the setting.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
