Where you will be working Location: Martham House, Princes Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 6JJ This specialist service is designed for those individuals with a learning disability who require a high level of support to live within a community setting and will continue to require this longer term. Clients may be transitioning from children's residential services, education, moving out of the family home. We are also experienced in successfully managing clients moving from services where their placements may have broken down or where their needs are no longer being met. The aim of the service is to encourage individuals to lead a full and valued life, enabling them to live more independently through a programme of active community engagement, developing meaningful social networks and developing robust coping strategies. Martham House has ten full en-suite bedrooms, two lounges and a large garden. Located in Redhill in Surrey, there are an excellent range of facilities and amenities close by. Redhill has direct train access to London and Brighton and the M25 and M23 motorways are 3 miles away. In this role you will: <ul> <li> Be over 25 years old and hold a valid UK driving licence (to assist with community visits) </li> <li> Have strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature </li> <li> Be willing to support residents with personal hygiene </li> <li> Have excellent people and communication skills, and a good sense of humour </li> <li> Deal with challenging behaviours </li> <li> Have a positive and professional approach </li> <li> Be reliable, flexible, hard-working and honest </li> <li> Be local or within commutable distance </li> </ul> You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visa's cannot be accepted.
