Are you ready for an invigorating role in Newcastle's vibrant Adult Social Care services? We're seeking enthusiastic Adult Social Workers to join our Autism and Learning Disabilities Team. This fantastic opportunity involves a 4-week initial contract at £27.56 per hour, with potential extensions. You'll be engaging in meaningful work with a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct Care Act assessments and high-quality reviews for adults with autism and learning disabilities.
  • Develop person-centred care and support plans, ensuring tailored solutions for individuals.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate case records and manage workload effectively, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Contribute to safeguarding efforts, promoting safety and wellbeing.
  • Encourage independence and positive outcomes for service users at every stage.

We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker status, registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in adult social care, particularly with autism and learning disabilities, is preferred.
  • Strong skills in assessment, care planning, and case management.
  • In-depth understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration.
