Job Description

Nursery Practitioner| Level 2 or Level 3

Toddler or Pre-School Room

£26,000–£30,000 per year

40 Hours per Week

The best early years environments don't just prepare children for school - they help build the confidence, curiosity, and resilience they'll carry with them for life.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming small nursery where every child is known as an individual. The setting provides a calm, nurturing environment that focuses on creating strong foundations during the most important years of a child's development.

With smaller group sizes and a close-knit team, practitioners have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and their families, tailoring learning experiences to meet each child's unique needs. Through engaging, play-based activities and a supportive approach, the nursery encourages children to develop confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of £28,000–£30,000 per year
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • Competitive annual leave package, including your birthday off
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Wellbeing programme and employee support
  • Benefits portal
  • Refreshments provided throughout the day
  • Opportunity to work in a small, supportive nursery where every team member is valued

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and provide engaging activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children can flourish.
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence, and curiosity through play-based learning.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
