The salary for this permanent Support Worker job is up to £31,731 per annum. Main duties:<ul>
<li>The Family Support Worker is expected to work in partnership with the Senior Family Support Worker and Managers using effective communication skills to ensure that the team is able to deliver effective, efficient services.</li><li>To work alongside staff delivering a range of services to families and young children including developing “Team Around the Child” and be responsible for holding an individual case load.</li><li>As a member of the Families Together Hub provide cover for absent colleagues to ensure a seamless service for the client.</li><li>To prepare and present reports for a wide variety of audiences and case conferences, core group meetings and court and to support and assist staff to ensure that work in this area is completed to the required professional high standard and within timescales.</li><li>To participate in referral meetings, reviews, case discussions, threshold meetings, care plan meetings and any other relevant professional meeting. Organising, chairing and taking minuets in team around the child meetings. Ensuring service users fully understand the process.</li><li>To complete case recordings to a high standard, working with other staff to ensure this is done in line with departmental procedures.</li><li>To work in partnership with families, monitoring their needs through accurate record keeping, care planning and case recording and gaining consent to share information when appropriate.</li><li>To be a good role model by demonstrating how to approach sensitive and personal issues with parents/carers in a professional manner.</li><li>To keep up to date and implement any legislation or procedures in relation to service delivery, disseminating as necessary to other staff.</li><li>To actively promote and encourage diversity and a multi-cultural ethos through every aspect of the service.</li><li>To ensure health and safety procedures are followed within own areas of responsibility, ensuring that health and safety requirements are met including lone working procedures.</li></ul>

The salary for this permanent Senior Family Support Worker job is up to £44,331 per annum. Main duties:<ul>
<li>To supervise and line manage a small team of practitioners in line with the supervision policy, escalating issues of concern for management review and decision making as required.</li><li>To be responsible for ensuring effective risk management, comprehensive assessments and outcomes focused plans are in place.</li><li>Complete accurate and timely records to capture the rationale behind the initial threshold decision and recommendations.</li><li>Ensure all work meets the requirements and timeframes outlined within the Targeted Early Help Practice Standards.</li><li>Ensure that safeguarding children is central to all work completed and that appropriate action is taken in line with the borough’s safeguarding procedures.</li><li>In consultation with team managers, make decisions on casework, reviewing assessments and recommending appropriate levels of intervention and support, identifying cases that require transfer to the social work teams.</li><li>To work with the Team Manager to ensure consistent delivery across the localities and an equal distribution of work across the borough. This may involve moving staff between localities to manage demand.</li><li>To contribute to developing the local early help partnership, chairing meetings as required.</li><li>To be responsible, together with the line manager and other managers, for the provision of management information and its interrogation to inform service provision and meet performance indicators.</li><li>To liaise effectively and work with universal and statutory services where appropriate.</li><li>To assess and monitor risk for children and young people and take responsibility for informing the appropriate statutory safeguarding agencies where appropriate.</li><li>To take responsibility for updating specialist knowledge in the chosen service area and to undertake training as identified.</li><li>To contribute to local and departmental training on practice issues in line with departmental policies and procedures, in light of research findings.</li></ul>
