Nursery Practitioner SEN
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 or above Early Years Educator with extensive experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to join our friendly and supportive Nursery team. This is a mixed role, where you will provide targeted support for a child with vision impairment and global developmental delay, while also working within the room to support all children and contribute fully as part of the team.

Job Title: Early Years Educator (Level 3) – SEND Support (Mixed Role)
Location: SE4
Salary: £28,250.30
Hours: 38.75 per week
Provide individualised support in line with the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Support the child’s learning, communication, and development through play-based activities.
Adapt activities and environments to meet sensory and developmental needs.
Work closely with the room team, SENCO, and external professionals.
Support and engage all children in the room when appropriate.
Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments.
Promote inclusion and ensure the child feels safe, valued, and supported.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a high-quality learning environment.
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
Extensive experience working with children with SEND.
Good understanding of EHCPs and inclusive practice.
Patient, caring, and committed to high-quality care and education.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible and proactive approach to supporting the setting.
Desirable Requirements:
Experience supporting children with vision impairment and/or global delay.
