A well-regarded primary school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team starting January 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with young children at a crucial stage in their development, in a nurturing environment that values early childhood education and personal growth. As a Nursery Teacher, you’ll play a vital role in fostering curiosity, social skills, and a love for learning.

Our nursery pupils are curious, energetic, and eager to explore, while the staff are committed to providing a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages each child to thrive. We are looking for a Nursery Teacher who can create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Responsibilities of the Nursery Teacher:

  • As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care and development of young children, creating a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Planning and delivering interactive, play-based learning experiences that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and meet children’s developmental needs.
  • Promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth, helping each child build confidence, independence, and early learning skills.
  • Observing and assessing children’s progress, keeping accurate records, and providing regular updates to parents and carers regarding their child’s development.
  • Working collaboratively with the Early Years team to provide a consistent, high-quality learning experience in the nursery.
