What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Undertake assessments, statutory visits, care planning and review processes to ensure children receive safe and effective care.
• Develop and progress permanence plans through fostering, long-term placements, special guardianship, or other appropriate arrangements.
• Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, review meetings, care planning forums, and multi-agency panels.
• Work directly with children and young people to understand and represent their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW, BA or MA Social Work).
• Professional registration with Social Work England.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Registration & Compliance:

• Current Social Work England registration.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Children Act 1989 and 2004
  • Care Planning, Placement, and Case Review Regulations
  • Provisions under the Leaving Care Act
  • Children and Social Work Act 2017
  • Equality Act 2010
  • Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance
