What you will do:

Manage a caseload of Looked After Children and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children in accordance with statutory requirements.
Undertake assessments, statutory visits, care planning and review processes to ensure children receive safe and effective care.
Develop and progress permanence plans through fostering, long-term placements, special guardianship, or other appropriate arrangements.
Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, review meetings, care planning forums, and multi-agency panels.
Work directly with children and young people to understand and represent their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW, BA or MA Social Work).
Professional registration with Social Work England.
Evidence of continuing professional development.

Registration & Compliance:

Current Social Work England registration.
Enhanced DBS clearance.
Working knowledge of:
- Children Act 1989 and 2004
- Care Planning, Placement, and Case Review Regulations
- Provisions under the Leaving Care Act
- Children and Social Work Act 2017
- Equality Act 2010
- Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance
