What you will do:
- Manage a complex caseload of children and families referred to Children’s Social Care, ensuring each case is handled with care and expertise.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Section 17 enquiries, and Section 47 investigations to meet statutory requirements efficiently and effectively.
- Screen and assess referrals, skilfully analysing risk and protective factors to make informed threshold decisions.
- Lead and actively participate in strategy discussions, safeguarding meetings, and multi-agency forums to drive positive outcomes.
- Develop and implement outcome-focused plans in collaboration with children, families, and partner agencies to reduce risk and enhance overall wellbeing.
Person Specification:
- Must hold a Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to children’s social care is essential.
- Registration with Social Work England and an enhanced DBS clearance are mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of statutes and regulations such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Care Planning, Placement and Case Review Regulations, Human Rights Act 1998, and Equality Act 2010 is required.
