What you will do:
- Chair Child Protection Conferences in accordance with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.
- Lead Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews, ensuring Care Plans remain effective, outcome-focused, and responsive to children's needs.
- Provide independent oversight and robust challenge to social care practice where plans do not adequately safeguard children.
- Monitor compliance with statutory duties under the Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Evidence of continuing professional development in safeguarding and child protection practice.
- Relevant management or leadership training is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
