What you will do

• Manage a complex caseload involving child protection, children in need, looked after children, and court proceedings, ensuring robust safeguarding of young people.
• Undertake statutory assessments, risk assessments, and reviews in line with the Children Act 1989 and "Working Together to Safeguard Children" guidance.
• Lead safeguarding investigations and contribute to strategy discussions, case conferences, and core group meetings to ensure thorough preventative measures.
• Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and support plans catering to the unique needs of children and families.
• Provide professional guidance, mentoring, and practice leadership to less experienced social workers and ASYE practitioners, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Person Specification

• Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Practice Educator Award or relevant post-qualifying qualification desirable.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Solid understanding of legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Human Rights Act 1998, and the Equality Act 2010.
