Job Description

Nursery Practitioner – Term Time Position

£12.70-£14.70 per hour | 40 Hours per Week | Permanent

Looking for a nursery where you'll feel just as supported as the children in your care?

Step into a bright, recently refurbished nursery where every space has been carefully designed to spark curiosity, encourage independence, and support children’s natural love of learning. With a strong reputation for quality and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this setting offers a calm yet stimulating environment where children are free to explore, play, and grow in confidence. Ideally located near the town centre and train station, it’s a convenient and rewarding place to build your early years career.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in shaping meaningful learning experiences while ensuring children feel safe, valued, and excited about each day. Supported by experienced colleagues and clear, well-established routines, you’ll have the tools and encouragement to focus on what truly matters—helping every child reach their full potential.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Recent experience working as a Nursery Practitioner within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
  • Confidence working independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach to supporting young children.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for early years education.

What You'll Receive

  • Opportunity to work within a Good Ofsted-rated, recently refurbished nursery
  • Discounted childcare
  • Pension scheme
  • Christmas closure
  • Benefits portal
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Supportive leadership and opportunities to progress your early years career

Your Role

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan engaging, play-based activities that support every stage of children's learning and development.
  • Create a warm, stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, supporting their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Promote children's wellbeing, independence, and confidence every day.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and early years practice.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
