Marchant Recruitment

Full time

We are looking for a warm and enthusiastic Nursery Learning Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in Didcot. This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with Nursery-aged children, supporting their early development in a nurturing and engaging environment.

The successful candidate will support children through a combination of play-based learning and structured activities, helping them develop early communication, social skills, and independence. You will work alongside the class teacher and Early Years staff to deliver high-quality provision in line with the EYFS framework.

You will help create a safe, stimulating, and well-organised Nursery environment where children feel confident and supported. Supporting daily routines, outdoor learning, creative activities, and personal care will form part of your role.

Observation and assessment will be an important aspect of the role, as you support staff in tracking progress and identifying next steps for learning. Building strong, positive relationships with children and contributing to a calm and welcoming atmosphere will be essential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with Nursery-aged children

  • Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic

  • Enjoys supporting early childhood development

  • Works well as part of a team

  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusion

We offer:

  • A welcoming and supportive Early Years team

  • Opportunities for training and professional development

  • A well-resourced Nursery setting

  • Happy, curious, and motivated children

To be considered for this position, please forward an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
