Deputy Nursery Manager
From £34,600 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week
We're recruiting for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a thriving Good Ofsted-rated nursery and support the continued success of a well-established early years setting.
The nursery provides a bright, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, build confidence, and develop the skills they need for the next stage of their education. Spacious indoor learning areas and a well-equipped outdoor environment, complete with dedicated play zones for different age groups, create endless opportunities for exploration, discovery, and development.
Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care and education, and ensuring the nursery continues to provide outstanding experiences for every child.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience as a Third in Charge, Deputy Nursery Manager, or higher leadership role
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience supporting, mentoring, and developing nursery teams
- Passion for delivering high-quality childcare and education

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional care and education
- Monitor quality and ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and training
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
- Help maintain occupancy, parent engagement, and operational standards
- Support children's learning, development, and school readiness
- Step into the Nursery Manager role in their absence
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and inspiring nursery culture
