Job Description

Nursery Practitioner - Level 2 or Level 3

£28,000–£28,700 per year | Full Time | 40 Hours per Week, All Year Round

Our client’s nursery is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Through engaging, play-based learning experiences, children are encouraged to build confidence, develop independence, and create a lifelong love of learning.

One of the nursery's standout features is its large outdoor play area, giving children of all ages the freedom to explore, be active, and pursue their individual interests. Whether they're climbing, creating, investigating nature, or enjoying imaginative play, the outdoor environment plays a key role in supporting children's physical, social, and emotional development.

Working alongside a friendly and experienced team, you'll help create meaningful learning experiences that inspire children to thrive both indoors and outdoors.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary of £28,000–£28,700 per year
  • Long service awards
  • Pension scheme
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Annual leave that increases with length of service
  • Discounted childcare
  • Staff incentives and recognition schemes
  • Wellbeing support and employee wellbeing programme
  • Opportunity to work in a nursery with excellent outdoor learning facilities
  • Supportive team with genuine opportunities for career progression

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and provide engaging activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Encourage children's curiosity, confidence, and independence through play-based learning.
  • Make full use of the nursery's indoor and outdoor environments to create exciting learning opportunities.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and the nursery's high standards at all times.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
