Social Worker within the Adults Safeguarding Team in Worcestershire, earning £28.40 per hour. What you will do:
• Assess and screen safeguarding referrals, making informed and evidence-based decisions regarding risk and intervention.
• Determine whether safeguarding concerns meet the threshold for Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014.
• Initiate and coordinate safeguarding interventions where Section 42 duties apply.
• Undertake robust risk assessments and contribute to safeguarding planning processes.
• Manage a varied safeguarding caseload while ensuring timely and effective responses.
• Work independently and exercise professional judgement in complex safeguarding situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, health professionals, care providers, police, and partner agencies to safeguard adults at risk.
• Advocate for individuals, ensuring their wishes, views, and outcomes remain central to safeguarding processes.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in line with statutory, professional, and organisational standards.
• Contribute to service development, quality assurance activities, and best practice within Adult Safeguarding Services.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current Social Work England registration.
