Based at Castle House, Barracks Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people involved in the Youth Justice System, helping to reduce offending behaviour and improve life outcomes through effective intervention and support.

What you will do

Case Management: Manage a varied Youth Justice caseload involving both statutory and non-statutory interventions.
Direct Work: Engage directly with children and young people using innovative and evidence-based approaches to reduce offending behaviour.
Assessment and Planning: Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans based on individual needs and risks.
Progress Reviews: Regularly review progress with children, young people, and their families, adapting intervention plans where necessary.
Court Duties: Undertake responsibilities as a Court Officer and represent the service within court settings as required.
Duty Work: Participate in Duty Officer responsibilities, responding appropriately to referrals, concerns, and emerging issues.
Appropriate Adult Role: Act as an Appropriate Adult where required to support young people through criminal justice processes.
Restorative Justice: Contribute to the development and delivery of restorative justice interventions and practices.
Report Writing: Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and recommendations for courts, panels, and partner agencies.
