What you will do

Case Management: Manage a varied caseload including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children cases.
Assessments: Undertake comprehensive statutory assessments and develop child-centred care and support plans.
Safeguarding: Lead safeguarding enquiries, risk assessments, and interventions to ensure children remain safe and protected.
Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review plans that promote positive outcomes and long-term stability for children and families.
Multi-Agency Working: Build strong working relationships with schools, health professionals, police, and other partner agencies.
Mentoring and Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to less experienced social workers and colleagues.
Court Work: Prepare high-quality court statements, reports, and assessments to support legal proceedings and permanency planning.
Advocacy: Ensure the wishes, feelings, and best interests of children remain central to all decision-making processes.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and professional case records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
