Job Description

Nursery Practitioner

£30,000 per year | Level 3 | All Year Round

The best early years settings give practitioners the time and support to focus on what really matters - building relationships, encouraging curiosity, and helping every child reach their full potential.

This Good Ofsted-rated nursery offers exactly that. With high staff-to-child ratios, small teaching groups and large open-plan rooms that encourage collaborative learning, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful, individual support to every child. The nursery also boasts fantastic outdoor facilities, giving children the freedom to explore, stay active, and develop through play in the fresh air.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll become part of a friendly and supportive team that's committed to delivering exceptional care and education in a nurturing environment where both children and practitioners can thrive.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

What You'll Receive

  • £30,000 per year
  • Pension scheme
  • Paid DBS check
  • Wellbeing programme
  • Long service awards
  • Benefits portal
  • Competitive annual leave package
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Opportunity to work within a supportive nursery with excellent staff-to-child ratios and small group learning

Your Role

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and support engaging activities that promote children's learning, confidence, and development.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Make the most of the nursery's spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments to provide enriching experiences.
  • Promote children's independence, wellbeing, and curiosity through play-based learning.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
