Job Description

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Up to £27,400 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

Award-Winning Nursery | Good Ofsted Rating

Do you believe some of the best learning happens outdoors?

Join our client’s award-winning, Good Ofsted-rated nursery, where nature plays a central role in children's everyday learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a setting that combines exceptional early years education with inspiring outdoor experiences.

The nursery offers a truly unique environment, featuring natural woodland, dedicated allotment areas, and secure outdoor spaces that are directly accessible from every room. Children are encouraged to learn through hands-on experiences, whether they're planting vegetables, investigating wildlife, developing physical skills, or engaging in imaginative outdoor play.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll help deliver engaging, child-led experiences that nurture curiosity, independence, and creativity while supporting every stage of children's development.

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A warm, caring, and child-centred approach to childcare

What's On Offer

  • Benefit from discounted childcare
  • Gain peace of mind with life assurance cover
  • Grow your career with ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Secure your future with a pension scheme
  • Access health and wellbeing support to help you feel your best
  • Take advantage of a benefits and rewards portal with exclusive perks
  • Enjoy a competitive annual leave package
  • Benefit from a Christmas closure
  • Excellent opportunities for career progression

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Plan and participate in engaging, child-led learning experiences
  • Make full use of the nursery's natural woodland, growing areas, and outdoor learning environments
  • Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through outdoor exploration
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development
  • Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
