Voyage Care's Jobs

Voyage Care has been supporting people who have learning disabilities, autism, head and spinal injuries and other complex disabilities for over 20 years. We provide person centred support across the UK, in residential, supported living and home support services.

We are delighted to announce that since April 2012 the well-respected specialist care provider Solor Care (Solor) has been part of Voyage Care (Voyage). The addition of Solor’s 92 services will make our expanded company the UK’s clear market leader in supporting people with learning disabilities, with 363 services offering 2,369 beds.

At Voyage Care we understand that choosing the right staff and giving them the skills and tools they need to do their job are essential ingredients in providing the highest quality support. Our aim is to improve quality of life for the people we support and the people who work for us.

This is done within the framework of our five key values. These include positioning authority closer to the people we support, where possible, so that the people who know the individual best can make decisions about how best to work with them. We recognise the commitment shown by our staff and celebrate successes.

Positive energy is important and staff are encouraged to share their ideas and work creatively to find the best solution for each individual they support.

We are committed to supporting the ongoing training and development of our staff. We believe that all staff should be given opportunities to develop the skills they need in order to carry out their roles competently and confidently. All our staff are encouraged to develop through a range of initiatives; staff can access e-learning using our own in-house e-learning facility or through on and off the job training programmes.

The company’s learning and development team ensures that training is managed and delivered effectively across the organisation and the company is accredited by City and Guilds, Edexcel and the Institute of Leadership and Management for the provision of a variety of qualifications.

Voyage Care is proud to have been awarded the Investor in People standard. The company received a glowing report from the assessor, who commented on the enthusiasm and team spirit he saw in the services he visited, Voyage Care’s commitment to training and staff development and the mutual respect that existed between employees at all levels.
