Learning Disability Team Leader Needed in Rickmansworth!

If you have an NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care and supervisory experience we would really like to hear from you!

Key details

This role is in a 12 bedded residential care home in Rickmansworth that specialises in Learning Disability care. The most recent CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas and the home is a part of a great company with homes across the country and great opportunities for progression!

This is a full time, permanent role paying £10.50 per hour on a 37.5 hours per week contract in an extremely rewarding setting. Shifts are a mixture of earlies and lates across a 5 day period including alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.

  • To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.

  • Ensure the ongoing safety of residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes.

  • Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working with Learning Disabilities

  • Experience of leading a shift and good supervisory skills

  • Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents

  • Effectively builds trust with a consistent approach between actions and words

  • Will take responsibility for issues and resolve them.

  • Able to cope in difficult situations with tact and diplomacy


  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
