Chairing multi-agency meetings
To protect the safety and welfare of vulnerable adults, families and their carers, within the ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’ principles.
Recognise risk indicators of different forms of abuse and neglect. Demonstrate an outcome focused, person centred approach to safeguarding practice.
Through formal supervision escalate complex case management for progression to appropriate allocation
A through working knowledge of legislation and how it impacts on the role including: the Mental Capacity Act 2005
Best Interest, Deprivation of Liberty, Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1995, and the Human Rights Act 1998
A knowledge and commitment to Making Safeguarding Personal and promoting the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
A knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults
Excellent risk assessment skills for safeguarding work, care planning, prioritisation of workloads and project management
Knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults procedure
A good working knowledge of positive risk taking, risk assessment/management and safeguarding adults
