Job Description

40 Hrs + On-Call | Covering LD/MH/ASD Supported Living Services in Essex

An experienced Manager is required to join a private care group and work as Area Manager covering several supported living services in Essex.

What the successful candidate will receive and details of this Area Manager position:

• An excellent annual salary of £25,000

• A permanent contract of 40 hours per week, usually working day shifts and with an on-call requirement

What this Area Manager role will involve:

• Coaching, mentoring and training staff to maintain the highest standards of care

• Assessing service performance and driving forward improvements within the homes

• Promoting best working practices ensuring consistently safe and high-quality service is provided

• Implement changes ensuring services meet and exceed national requirements in addition to identifying where sustainable growth can be achieved

What we are looking for in an Area Manager:

• Have completed a recognised qualification in Social Care such as NVQ Level 3 or 4

• 3+ years’ experience in a social care setting, with experience working with adults living with Learning Disabilities, ASDs, Mental Health Issues, Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviours

• Experienced in a multi-site management role with experience in operational, financial and staff management along with experience in purchasing/acquisitions, marketing and quality management

• Experienced working with CCGs and Local Authorities and have good working knowledge of CQC essential standards and safeguarding requirements

• A strong leader with effective coaching, interpersonal and communication skills and able to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
