Purosearch is looking for a hard-working and caring professional; I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Manager looking to take on a new challenge within a leading organisation.
This is a medium service located in the picturesque market town of Newark-on-Trent. The service is located close to major road networks and would therefore be an easy commute from surrounding areas.
My client is a well established and leading provider of supported living care for adults with learning disabilities and related conditions; we are looking for someone to work in accordance with the company's philosophy of care and to ensure the service operates to the highest standard.
I am looking for a Service Manager that is passionate about making continuous improvements in a Service. This role would suit an experienced Manager that has a proven track record of successfully troubleshooting services with compliance issues. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and legislations.
Responsibilities/Duties of the Service Manager:
• Managing staff on a day-to-day basis in all areas, including recruitment, development of staff, inductions and training.
• To effectively develop good communication links between customers and support team and colleagues.
• Leading by example within training and motivation of staff.
• To take responsibility for monitoring the work performance of staff.
• Planning and maintaining staff rota's, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
Key skills required by the Service Manager:
• Previous experience in a similar role,
• Ideally Level 5 or Higher in Leadership and Management
• Good time management skills, IT literate.
• Recruitment and management of a team
• Essential - Experience of challenging behaviours / mental health
