We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with previous health or social care experience to support the occupational therapy service within elective orthopaedics . The joint support worker role is designed to better meet patient needs by combining occupational therapy and physiotherapy interventions into therapy sessions, giving a more streamlined and efficient service. This acute service is based within the new Brunel building at Southmead Hospital, which has excellent facilities including therapy rooms, a large ADL kitchen and purpose designed splint room. The wards have 75% single rooms, which are equipped with overhead tracking hoists, ensuite toilets and level access showers.
The Orthopaedic department is world renowned for its innovation and expertise and we are a centre of excellence in the South West, treating patients from across the region for planned surgery.
Further training and CPD opportunities are available to help you develop your knowledge and skills. In addition, regular supervision and support is available within the team.
