Making it happen- Your Role
You will be joining a team which supports people with various disabilities, predominantly within their own homes. Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.
This is a responsible Role which is really varied, an extremely rewarding. the job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices.
On a daily basis, you may be involved in supporting people with the following activities:
• Managing finances
• Personal care
• Attending Drs/ hospital appointments
• Shopping and socialising
• And many more.

Brief overview of service / service users
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual who is committed to promoting person centred support and extending opportunities for 3 men and 3 ladies living, in Whitley Bay. This position is for supported living with real focus on developing consistent, personalized support, positive behaviour support interventions and positive outcomes for people.
Specific skills / experience required for the role
Flexible working practices are essential, you will have experience of supporting people who challenge and have mental health issues; also experience in autism advantageous but not essential.
Drivers are desirable but not essential for this role and you must have a manual licence.
