With over 25 years' experience and more than 200 care homes and seven independent hospitals, Barchester is one of the UK's foremost care providers. But we're not stopping there: our mission is to provide the best care possible to elderly and vulnerable people, so we're growing and improving our services.
As Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer, you'll provide and ensure that all our residents receive high quality, person-centred care. Carers will look to you for direct support and leadership that demonstrates how to put our residents' dignity, choice and consent at the heart of everything we do.
To qualify for this role, you must have a Level 2 NVQ or advanced diploma in Health & Social Care and experience in caring, ideally for the older person. This is essential as you'll monitor and help plan each residents' care, undertaking plan reviews and risk assessments where necessary. To do this, you'll be able to demonstrate that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills within a team environment.
This care giving will include a range of clinical skills. These could include taking blood pressure, temperature, pulse, urine samples and much more. It's crucial that you're a personally-committed individual who can complete all regulatory and statutory training requirements and comply with Barchester's clinical policies and strategies. You'll be motivated to seek out and attend opportunities for clinical or personal learning and development.
This is a demanding, but incredibly rewarding role at Barchester. You'll be working across three different homes in the region depending on their needs, so all your travel will be paid per mile. This will require you to be flexible both days and nights across the week and you may be required to work bank holidays and weekends. You should be confident you're fit and healthy enough to work long shifts where you may stand for extended periods of time.
Does this sound like you? If so, this could be your opportunity to build your career with one of the UK's leading care providers - you'll be an essential part of the home and a leading example to our care staff. Your role of leadership means you will have the opportunity to make changes that have a real impact on our staff and residents - ensuring every day is the best it can be.
As well as a competitive salary, Barchester provides one of the best rewards packages in the care sector, including:
* Free learning and development
* Profit share scheme
* Childcare vouchers
* Retail discounts
* Leisure savings
* Holiday and travel discounts
If you have the unique qualities required for this exciting role and want to work with an organisation that provides the type of care you'd expect for your loved ones, we would welcome your application.
