What We Do: Pebbles Care working in partnership with Partners in Care and Radical Services, continues to rapidly develop as an organisation who provide outstanding residential care for children and young people who may have emotional and behavioural difficulties. We offer short, medium and long term residential placements to young people between the ages of 8 – 18 who have experienced family or foster care breakdown or some other significant interruptions in their lives. We provide a safe, stimulating and engaging environment in small, family style homes which have been specifically designed so that each person feels secure and comfortable in their surroundings. We attempt to replicate a positive family life in our homes, offering a high level of nurture while taking great care to avoid any feeling of isolation. Each young person is assigned a key-worker who plays a pivotal role in their recovery process, particularly in developing their ability to attach and enabling them to unlock their full potential.
The Role: You will be a Deputy Manager in a small, family orientated, Children's Home looking after a maximum of four young people where you will be responsible for managing and supervising the care team and assisting the manager in all aspects of managing the home. Your aim is to ensure our young people are supported, nurtured and encouraged with the aim of preparing them to move on to independent living. We believe every young person deserves to have a home where they can feel safe and secure and where our staff will enable them to achieve their goals. It’s challenging yet highly rewarding work where the little things you do every day will have life changing results.
Who You Are:
Enthusiastic and highly motivated
Strong and effective communication skills
Ability to engage and build relationships naturally and effectively
Understanding and shows empathy
Strong Listening Skills
GCSE Grade C or above in English
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
Full UK driving licence is essential
