Service Manager - Mental Health

£25,000 - £30,000 + bonus scheme

Full-time, Permanent            

Guildersome, Leeds

        

Compass Associates are working alongside a valued client who is currently looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager to oversee a brand new supported living service for 14 adults with Mental Health needs in Guildersome, Leeds. We are looking for a highly skilled and strong manager with plenty of supported living experience who can lead from the front and motivate the staff to provide the best quality of care for their clients.                 

 

The Remit

To plan, manage and co-ordinate the work of a team to ensure the optimum use of resources and the delivery of effective support for vulnerable people in the community.

To provide advice and guidance to staff. To mentor and induct new starters and be the first point of contact in the response to complaints/enquiries.   

To manage risks, supporting the team to enable people to maximise their potential.

To liaise internally and externally and work with colleagues from other agencies to share best practice and knowledge and ensure clients achieve optimum outcomes.

 

The Candidate               

        

The ideal candidate will have a background of working within supported living care and much experience working with young adults with Mental Health needs. A positive, forward thinking and very approachable personality is essential. Experience working with local authorities and local commissioning groups will be vital for this role. Candidates looking to apply for this role will need to be values lead in their approach to care as well as having a good business head on them to ensure the smooth running of the services.         

                

Requirements (Essential)             

Qualified or working towards Diploma Level 3 in Leadership and Management

Experience of working with and managing service for people with mental health needs.

Proven track record of managing people and performance

Ability to work across and support the management of a 24/7 operation

 

Summary        

   

My client is seeking a manager that has a genuine passion for the quality of services, is hands on and wants to be a visible leader. This person will successfully oversee and develop the service and motivate a team to deliver the best quality of care. In exchange my client is offering a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
