Commissioning Home Manager | Care Home (Residential)       

Cheshire & Staffordshire  


Salary: £45k per annum      



25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)




- Good CQC knowledge

We are working with a private care provider that operate a small portfolio of care homes across the North West and specialise in providing high quality care in older people's services. This is a business that is slowly growing it's reputation  and are looking to expand in the near future.


My client is looking for a commissioning manager to provide an oversight for a brand new care home that will provide residential and dementia care for elderly people. This will be a 5* care home with some of the best facilities in the area, the role itself will require you to implement the following:     


Develop a comprehensive recruitment drive and steadily grow a staff team from scratch

Working with external stakeholders such as; CQC, local authority, contractors etc to bring residents into the service

Create long lasting links with the local community.

Ensure the home is furnished and designed to a high spec suitable for residents living in the service


The Candidate              

The successful candidate must be an experienced, committed and personable manager who genuinely has a passion for elderly care. The client requires someone who has worked within an elderly care home and preferably had extensive commissioning or turnaround experience.


The candidate must have excellent leadership skills and provide evidence that their focus is to provide high quality care. This position requires a commercially aware person who can recruit, retain and motivate a competent staff team, as well as being comfortable with budgeting and ensure the home goes above and beyond to provide outstanding care for its residents.      


Must have management experience within an elderly care home*    



This role is based in Cheshire & Staffordshire, and is commutable from Manchester, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Shrewsbury, Stockport, Maccelsfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme & Stafford .      


Interview Process              

The interview process will be in a 2- stage format.               


Stage one: Skype/ Zoom call (Formal): Operations Director & HR Director    

Stage two: Face to face (Formal): Operations Director, HR Director & CEO                 



My client is seeking a commissioning Manager preferably with exposure to commissioning or turnaround work within an elderly care home, where the successful candidate can lead on running a successful care home in line with CQC requirements. In exchange, my client is offering a salary of circa £45k per annum
