Learning Disability Locality Manager-Somerset- £34k

My client is currently looking for a Locality Manager to oversee some of their services within the Somerset area. This fantastic opportunity will allow you the chance to be an effective coach and mentor and allow your person-centred approach to lead your team to success and provide the highest level of care.
The services are owned by one of the UK's leading learning disability care provider. They have a fantastic senior management team and are keen to appoint a Locality Manager that can grow with the services and also the company. The company has an excellent reputation within the area and consistently strive to ensure the provision of the highest quality service to their Service Users.
You will be registered with the CQC for a number of services within the region, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health conditions, some of whom may be elderly. The support packages delivered, are person-centred and focus on helping people develop skills and become more independent.

The role of Locality Manager will include:
• Ensure the health and wellbeing of the people we support, in line with CQC Guidelines
• Building strong relationships with a number of health professionals to ensure the need of the people we support are met in a responsive and effective manner.
• Develop open and trusting relationships with families, friends and circles of support
• Deliver effective risk assessments and emergency plans to ensure the people they support are safe
• Make sure your team are appropriately trained and motivated to provide high quality support.
• Ensure the service meets all organisational and statutory requirements and complies with CQC Guidelines and our own standards, policies and procedures.
• Make sure complaints are dealt with in line with our policies
• Accountable for the budget and finance for the Locality
Able to support the organisation to grow the business.
Develop local connections and partnerships to ensure the people we support are involved and engaged within their community

To be eligible for the Locality Manager opportunity all we ask is you have the following:

• RMA/NVQ 4/NVQ Level 5
• A strong background in working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
• Sound knowledge and understanding of CQC legislation
• Full driving license and access to car
