A well known care provider is currently looking for dedicated and experienced staff for their Residential Care Home in Harrietsham, between Maidstone and Ashford. The company has a number of homes across Kent and are a top quality care provider with many years' experience in the industry.
Our client provides a safe and homely environment where their aim is to provide residents with a good quality of life whilst also respecting privacy and dignity. They are seeking strong Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants with previous care experience to join their dedicated care team and provide individually tailored care to all clients.
About the home:
This is a beautiful 50 bedded Residential Care Home specialising in elderly and dementia care. Their CQC report is rated "GOOD" in all areas from their last inspection and person-centred care is at the very heart of the company's values. The home is located in a small, picturesque village and only a short walk from Harrietsham train station with good links from Ashford and Maidstone. Residents at the home can enjoy a large sun-lounge and dining area as well as beautiful and well-maintained gardens with seating areas.
Senior Care Assistants
These are full time, permanent roles (33-44 hours per week, alternate weekends) paying a generous £10.00 per hour. Nights are available with an immediate start possible. Candidates will preferably have NVQ Level 3 and previous experience as a Senior HCA.
Senior Care Assistant Duties:
*To Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents
*To provide leadership and support to the care staff
*Responsible for the administration of medication
*Maintain residents dignity and independence at all times
As a senior care assistant you will be expected to lead by example at all times and provide strong leadership skills to the rest of the care assistants. You should have a strong work ethic and embody your care homes attitude towards delivering the highest standards of care.
There are also full time, permanent Care Assistant positions and both days and nights are available. These pay £9.05 per hour with no NVQs and £9.20+ per hour with qualifications. The company can offer support to those individuals looking gain qualifications and to progress in their careers into Senior Care Assistant positons.
NVQs within Health and Social Care are preferred but not essential as long as candidates have previous experience of working within care. Preferably within care homes for the elderly.
