Social Worker older adult mental health service, North Dublin city & County
The social worker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team led by a Consultant Psychiatrist, and including Community mental Health nurses, Occupational Therapist and a Psychologist.
The caseload will consist of adults over 65's + and their families living in the area who have a range of mental illnesses including a diagnosis of dementia, Alzheimers, Schizophrenia and Bi Polar Disorder, depression, anxiety and isolation.
The team receive their referrals mainly from GP’s in the area. The post holder will be involved in providing community mental health services to service users living in their own homes as well as those who are residing in HSE community units and inpatient units.
Essential requirements are:
- A recognised qualification as a Social Worker
- Membership of CORU
- Some post graduate experience in a mental health setting or experience working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working with adults /adults mental health setting.
- Additional training / qualifications in therapeutic approaches to working with adults
