LOCATION: Slamannan, near Falkirk

JOB TITLE: Support Worker

SALARY & BENEFITS: £18,681 per anum (£9.58 for bank contracts) plus benefits including 28 days holiday (pro rata), £100 Cash bonus after completed e-learning before start date, and other staff benefit schemes including Cycle2work scheme, discounts at many retailers, access to GP online, refer a friend scheme and Employee Assistance Helpline

WORKING HOURS: Full Time 37.5 hours per week – Part Time & Casual contracts also available

The role of the Support Worker is an opportunity to join an evolving Care Company where you can make a genuine difference to people's lives. Our client are looking for a dedicated and empathic person to join their existing team based in Slamannan, near Falkirk where you will provide practical assistance and emotional support in supporting the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations. There are currently a range of Full Time, Part Time and Casual contracts available and will involve working a shift patterns consisting of Days, Nights and Weekends.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Support Worker role will need to have previous experience with people who have challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities, but this can be in a working capacity but also through personal/voluntary experience, and candidates will also need to be outgoing, empathetic people who take pride in helping make a real difference to other people's lives. In addition candidates will need good written skills as will be required to ensure that records are accurately maintained, candidates will also need to be able to commit to a flexible working rota pattern consisting of days, nights and weekends, and will need to be able to commute to Slamannan, near Falkirk.

Our client offer a clear development plan, which includes a detailed training plan for all elements of the role, personal development plan, induction process, and ongoing supervision and appraisals. Additionally, support and guidance is provided for all our Support Workers to achieve their Care Certificate

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Support Worker role:-

- Previous experience supporting people with people with challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities essential (this can also be through a personal or voluntary capacity)
- Must be a naturally caring, empathetic and outgoing person looking to make a difference to people's lives
- Good communication skills and ability to undergo training essential
- Will need to be flexible and able to work days, nights and weekends on a shared rota basis
- Must be able to commute to Slamannan near Falkirk
