SENIOR CARE ASSISTANTS
*6 MONTHS WORK EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED
Sugarman Health & Wellbeing are looking for experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants and Care Assistants to provide person-centred care to clients within local Residential and Nursing homes in Leeds and surrounding areas.
To join us as Senior Care Assistant, it is essential that you hold or are working towards a level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), alongside medication training and experience of a similar role.
Minimum requirements to work with SUGARMAN as a Senior Healthcare Assistant and/or Healthcare Assistant (HCA):
You must have a good standard of English and be able to communicate effectively
You must have the right to work within the UK
A warm, compassionate and personable nature with the ability to work with patience, tact, and understanding.
Candidate must be flexible, reliable and of a caring nature. Punctuality is a necessity.
As part of the role, you will provide personal care to disabled elderly.
You will create positive lasting relationships.
You will help in the care of the service users' physical environment and in the general day-to-day.
You will implement the agreed enablement care and support plans to each individual
Follow all support, policy, process and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Work from planned rotas, including night shifts and weekends.
Adaptable, caring, open-minded, flexible.
Good communicator. Ability to understand and respond to non/verbal communications.
Ability to represent or advocate for service users as appropriate.
Contributing to team, responding positively to colleagues and undertaking all reasonable work instructions promptly.
Providing support to colleagues, through leadership by example, mentoring and coaching, acting as a positive role model, enabling the care team to deliver high standards.
Actively participating in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, continuously developing, evaluating and reviewing plans through routine assessment or the changing needs of individual residents.
Clearly communicating with the team.
A self-driven and able to motivate others. Committed to good practice.
Building a relationship by working together, networking and interacting with the local community resources to engage the individual and their families.
