Our prestigious client is one of the UK's most inspiring and well known faith-based organizations, which offer a vast range of services throughout the country, providing much-needed support to vulnerable people.
We are now looking for a unique individual to take on this exciting role as Deputy Director for Older People's services.
Reporting to the Director, you will oversee the Operational Management of the services and be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of high quality, viable residential care provision for older people which not only meets standards set by the national regulators but demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement.
Maintain overall control and responsibility for all operational care services to the quality expected and to be accountable for compliance with regulations and sustainability for the future.
Take responsibility for the line management of the Assistant Directors -providing and ensuring professional support, supervision, performance management, and learning and development as appropriate
Deputize for the Director of OPS as required in all aspects of Strategic options, Staff matters, Programme opportunities, Policy and procedure formation, Budget monitoring, Management of risk
Work closely with other members of the Senior Management team who have finance, training and inspection roles within the Service.
Manage effective relationships with other organizational departments
Take responsibility for the recruitment of the Management teams in the care homes
Lead and ensure that the Christian values of the Organisation are a key focus of all older people’s work and that the mission of the Organisation is realised.
A vibrant Christian faith together with an understanding of the spiritual needs of residents and staff and how their Christian journey can be supported
Highly motivated, organized, meticulous
Management experience at a senior level within a social care setting
Be able to demonstrate proven management skills in delivering services which respond to the needs of service users across a wide range of cultures
Degree qualified or with a recognized professional qualification in Health and Social Care
Ability to lead, motivate and support a team of managers to achieve organizational aims and priorities
A proven track record of strategic and financial planning together with budgetary control
Experience of working in the non-profit sector
Knowledge of the voluntary sector and charity law
Be based within commutable distance of South London, but able to travel on a national basis.
