Job Description

Band 3 Maternity Support Worker - Community Midwifery Services St Helier Site- 30 hours per week:
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust are seeking an experienced, dynamic and inspirational MSW to be work alongside our midwives in the Community Midwifery Department based at the St Helier site
Our Community Midwifery team comprise of highly skilled community midwives and Maternity Care workers that provide high quality care to our women in London Borroughs of Sutton and Merton.
The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills.  You should have experience in the role, be able to work on your own initiative and contribute to the wider midwifery team and service improvements. You will work closely with the midwives and doctors, to ensure that the Community midwifery department safely, effectively and efficiently. You will have a sound clinical knowledge base and your passion for promoting normality and safe care should be evident. 

We are looking for someone who understands the demands of the wider maternity service. You will demonstrate a high level of organisational skills.  You will ensure high standards of midwifery care which meet the requirements of women and their families at all times.
You will have a proven track record of supporting others, and be a role model to midwives and students. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a successful midwifery team which values innovators and motivators.
