Job Description

The Mental Health Liaison Team at Great Western Hospital are a PLAN accredited team who are extremely proud of the high quality compassionate assessment and care they deliver.

The successful candidate will become part of an established service working alongside other specialist practitioners and our Consultant Psychiatrist.

You will participate in the provision of a responsive, needs-led mental health assessment and short-term intervention service to individuals presenting to the GWH with a range of mental health problems. A significant part of the role will be the assessment of individuals following an episode of self-harm. There will also be a teaching, education and support role, assisting non-mental health staff to respond to mental health needs more effectively in the acute hospital setting.

You will hold a relevant professional registration such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing, and be able to demonstrate post-registration experience at Band 5 or above. You will need to provide evidence of continual professional development.
