Job Description

We’re looking for Support Assistants to join our friendly, busy staff team at Vista Road in Wickford, providing 24 hour care to the people we support. We have one full-time and one part-time post available.

The purpose of the role is to support to three adults with learning disabilities living in a shared home to maintain and develop their independence at home, as well as accessing both new and established community activities, empowering each person to their own level within a 24-hour care setting.

An understanding of learning disabilities would be desirable - however full training will be provided so previous experience within care and support is not essential for these posts following a successful interview.

The successful candidates will demonstrate their passion for supporting people whilst ensuring that they have the ability to support with medication administration, support a person with their finances, appropriate recordkeeping and to empower and promote independence within the home and out in the community.

We are looking for applicants with excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy. You will also need to be flexible to work a shift pattern which includes early, late, night and weekend/bank holiday shifts.

In return for your hard work, we will provide you with ongoing training and support, excellent staff rewards and an exciting future in our expanding services.

So do you think this is for you? Are you ready for the challenge? Well if you are, we would love you to apply for this post.

Please note this post is being re-advertised, and therefore we are not seeking applications from candidates who have previously applied.

Please state your preferred hours (full or part time) on your application.
