Applications are invited from an experienced Social Care professional to join the Adult Community Services service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey , in the Channel Islands.
The Service provides Social Care to Service Users aged 18+ and comprises of 60 Carers, delivering around 3000 visits per month.
Reporting to the Band 8A Service Manager, this role line manages two Band 6 Team Leaders and two Band 4 Deputy Team Leaders.
The remit also includes; HR, training, rotas and input into Service development.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 7 salary is up to £50,172 plus an annual bonus of £1,167 and higher penalty rates; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH

The Community Services is made up of a team of professionals who provide nursing and social support in the homes of adults in Guernsey. Their aim is to help people maintain the best possible quality of life and independence in their own home.
All of this is reliant on the excellent calibre of senior Staff recruited to a very high standard.
Registered Nurse or AHP with valid professional registration OR degree qualified Social Care professional.
Current or recent senior Social Care experience, including HR, training and management of staff rotas
Experience in leading, motivating and developing a team.
Passionate about leading a service that is robust while being innovative and open to considering new ways of working.
