Healthcare Assistant - Private Specialist Clinic    

Central London  

£24,000 - £28,000 pro rata, plus extensive benefits package  

Part Time, 34 hours

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading Outpatients Clinic in their search for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Central London. They offer a full range of clinics including Breast Care, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Women's Health, ENT/Thyroid, Diagnostics and Imaging.    


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare assistant looking for a new opportunity in a multi-specialism private clinic. Our client is looking for someone who has extensive experience in the medical field and who ideally has experience in a private healthcare setting.   


The Role  


As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide basic clinical care to patients under the supervision of trained staff. This includes carrying out basic observations when required, recording the results, assisting consultants with clinical procedures (including day surgery, injections and examinations), assessing wounds and providing the correct wound care providing advice and education to patients regarding their treatments, and providing phlebotomy services when required. In addition, you will be given training for Vascular and Mona Lisa laser treatments.  


You will also be responsible for a number of non-clinical tasks such as chaperoning patients during visits, monitoring and maintaining stock levels, ordering items as required, contributing to ensuring all clinical areas are kept tidy, cleaning and checking all clinical and emergency equipment, preparing the Consultant clinics to ensure all necessary equipment is set and using the correct disposal of clinical waste and sharps.  


The role is worked over 4 days (Tuesday to Friday) per week, with various shifts between 8am - 6pm.

Joining a busy, multi-disciplinary team, the must have  the ability to work independently to ensure the smooth day to day running of the clinic and the effective care of patients. You will be excited to begin a new chapter, showing dedication and taking pride in your work.  


As the initial point of contact for patients both pre-op and post-op patients, you must demonstrate a caring and supportive manner with a passion for interacting with patients, relatives, colleagues and senior staff. Excellent communication skills will be crucial in order to provide the highest level of patient care, aligning with the clinical values.

- Up to date Mandatory Training and Basic Life Support

My Client is looking for a part-time Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Central London. In return, there is a generous salary on offer up to £27,000 with additional company benefits which will be discussed at interview stage. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting doctors, nurses and other health professionals in their day to day duties including confidentiality and privacy at all times.
