About Care UK
We run over 120 homes and day clubs across the UK. We provide residential, nursing, dementia and end-of-life care for older people. As one of the UK’s leading care home providers, our goal is to help every employee fulfil his or her potential – with first-class training and support.
About the role
This role offers full or part time contracted hours of 22h/w, 33h/w or 44h/w. Carers would be required to work alternate weekends or one day every weekend. Working hours would be 8:00 PM – 8:00AM.
As part of a close-knit, friendly team, you’ll assist our residents with their physical and emotional needs. The role will also involve assisting our residents with personal care, assisting them with day to day activities and maintaining their documentation. More than just a carer, you’ll be a true friend, who champions their dignity and respects their independence.
You’re a compassionate, can-do person with experience supporting older people. You’re good at using your initiative and working well under pressure. To you, it’s more than just a job. It’s a role where you happily go the extra mile to make a difference to the lives of older, frail people. To succeed, you’ll need to be able to think on your feet, prioritise your own workload and keep accurate records.

Our friendly, experienced team provides residential, nursing and respite care for older people, including individuals with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. We also offer supportive and sensitive end of life care.
We get to know each resident on a one-to-one basis, so that we can make their care programme as individual as they are. We offer residents a choice in everything that we do and we build strong relationships with each person, their family and their friends.
Every month we hold a relaxed meeting with residents and their relatives, to discuss how we can make improvements to day-to-day life at Darlington Court. It's a great opportunity for everyone to share their ideas and make suggestions about things like our menu.
Care UK is committed to ensuring that it employs people with the right mix of talent, skills and potential and will assess every applicant fairly regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, responsibilities for dependents, age, physical/mental disability or offending background. Having a criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working with us, it will depend on the nature of the role and background of any offence.
