Job Description

Do you have experience of supporting young people aged around 16 to 25?

Our client has multiple vacancies for support workers to empower residential students live a fulfilled and enjoyable life. As part of a team of other Youth Workers you will partake in a wide variety of activities accompanying the young people to school and all leisure activities as well as with basic living skills around the home.

Skills required are the ability to act as a calming and supportive role model in an upbeat and positive way to de-escalate and anxious or challenging behaviour that might occur. Experience of working in care is essential and ideally with young people with autism and/or mental health issues.

Location: Cranborne, Dorset

Salary: From £8.41 - £9.39 per hour (£14,465 - £16,150) Linked to competency and qualifications- Level 2/3

Free training will be given if required to level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and 2 salary increases when 50% completed and finished

Hours: Term time only (38 weeks, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday)
