Do you have experience of supporting young people aged around 16 to 25?
Our client has multiple vacancies for support workers to empower residential students live a fulfilled and enjoyable life. As part of a team of other Youth Workers you will partake in a wide variety of activities accompanying the young people to school and all leisure activities as well as with basic living skills around the home.
Skills required are the ability to act as a calming and supportive role model in an upbeat and positive way to de-escalate and anxious or challenging behaviour that might occur. Experience of working in care is essential and ideally with young people with autism and/or mental health issues.
Salary: From £8.41 - £9.39 per hour (£18,367 - £20,507) Linked to competency and qualifications- Level 2/3
Hours: 52 weeks per year. 4 shifts on / 4 shifts off rota pattern (8am - 8pm) – Ave 42 hours per week.
Free training to Diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care will be given to those who need it along with salary rises at 50% of the way through and once completed
