Job Description

Hours - Monday to Friday jobs in Care can be few and far between but as this role is in the education care sector this one is. On top of that, it's working term time only so 38 weeks out of 52 a year. Experience - ideally you will have worked with young people with learning difficulties, autism, and/or behavioural challenges due to anxiety. However, candidates with a background in care supporting any age group will be considered. Duties - the key function of this role is to ensure the students receive the highest level of education both in class and during communal periods supporting with individual support plans. This will be carried out working collaboratively with teachers and recording progress. Skills required - the ability to act as a calming and supportive role model in an upbeat and positive way to de-escalate any anxious or challenging behaviour that might occur. A positive and robust manner is required to empower students and instil confidence Qualifications - Willingness to work towards achieving Level 3 Diploma HSC which will be funded by the company.
