JOB TITLE: Carer / Care Assistant 

SALARY & BENEFITS: £10 per hour 

WORKING HOURS: Full Time & Part Time Day & Night Shifts – various contracts between 16 and 42 hours available

THE COMPANY: Are you an experienced Carer / Care Assistant, or are you a caring and compassionate person who is looking to start and develop a career in Health & Social care?

Our client operate a purpose built two storey home for 52 residents, specialising in nursing care with dementia and also complex mental health needs. The nursing home has the benefit of the picturesque views across extensive grounds within a enclosed garden surrounding the home away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads offering safety to the residents and peace of mind to their relatives.

The company are now looking to appoint new Carer / Care Assistants. There are Part Time and Full Time positions working over days or nights and no previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided!

THE ROLE: As a Carer / Care Assistant you will be based at the nursing home based in Braintree (commutable from Chelmsford, Colchester and surrounding areas) where you will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties to offer support to residents and build special moments. Typical duties will vary but will consist of offering companionship, interacting and building relationships with residents, assisting with personal care and individual needs, arranging and assisting with activities, and generally build effective and lasting relationships.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Care Team Leader role does not need to have previous experience as a carer although experienced candidates are encourage and welcome to apply - experience does not necessarily need to be working experience and can be experience providing support or care to a family member or friend which is just as valuable. You will need to be comm8ited to obtaining care certificates which are funded by the employer and will need to be a naturally caring, considerate and compassionate person who would take pride from making a real difference to peoples lives. In addition candidates will need to live within commutable distance to Braintree (commutable from Chelmsford, Colchester and surrounding areas).

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Carer / Care Assistant role in Braintree include :-

• Must be a caring, empathetic and compassionate person 
• Must be willing and committed to undergoing training
• Good communication skills are essential
• Ability to work with a team is also essential
• Will need to be able to commute to Braintree (commutable from Chelmsford, Colchester and surrounding areas)
