What you will do

Manage a caseload of service users with drug and alcohol support needs, delivering structured key working and recovery-focused interventions.
Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery planning using recognised psychosocial intervention approaches.
Deliver harm reduction interventions, including overdose prevention education, naloxone awareness, BBV screening referrals, and safer substance use advice.
Facilitate one-to-one and group-based recovery programmes that support engagement, relapse prevention, and personal development.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Counselling, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
Relevant training in substance misuse interventions, safeguarding, and risk assessment.
Evidence of continuing professional development.

Registration and Compliance:

Enhanced DBS clearance.
Sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and local safeguarding procedures.
Understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equality Act 2010, and relevant data protection requirements.
Commitment to working within organisational policies, clinical governance standards, and confidentiality frameworks.
